WHITING BAY:  22 Sandwich Terns.
ARDMORE:  7 Wheatears at Curragh.
 
Sat 30 March:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  FIRECREST (video), Wheatear, male Blackcap, 15+ Chiffchaffs & 4 Sandwich Terns.
FAITHLEGG/CHEEKPOINT:  Presumed escapee GYRFALCON near Minaun Hill (previously reported in Co Kilkenny - details).
TRAMORE:  Adult Mediterranean Gull & 2 Sandwich Terns at Saleen, 6 Sandwich Terns & 3 Common Scoter in Bay, male Black Redstart at west end of beach, 12 Gadwall at boating lake.
BALLYSCANLAN LAKE:  2nd-summer Iceland Gull, adult Mediterranean Gull and 31 Crossbills.
DUNGARVAN:  Jack Snipe on Cunnigar, Long-tailed Duck inside Cunnigar, 3 Black Redstarts (2 male), Wheatear & c15 Chiffchaffs at Ballynagaul.
HELVICK HEAD:  2nd-winter Glaucous Gull.
BALLYMACART:  Male Black Redstart.
VARIOUS LOCATIONS:  Total of 9 Buzzards (1, 1, 3 & 4).
 
Fri 29 March:
DUNHILL:  'SIBERIAN' CHIFFCHAFF (tristis subspecies) at settlement ponds, east side of village - video.
WATERFORD CITY:  2 Blackcaps (male & female) all week at Grantstown Park.
BALLYSCANLAN LAKE:  Swallow & 11 Sand Martins.
NORTH WATERFORD:  Buzzard.
BALLYVOYLE:  2 Black Redstarts & 2 Dippers.
DUNGARVAN / RING:  c20 Chiffchaffs at Ballynagaul / Poulaphuca.
HELVICK HEAD:  2nd-winter Glaucous Gull.
CAPPOQUIN:  Brambling & 27+ Yellowhammers.
 
Thurs 28 March:
CAPPOQUIN:  6 Bramblings.
LISMORE:  c15 Sand Martins.
TRAMORE:  2 Black Redstarts & 6 Wheatears at old recycling centre.
 
Weds 27 March:
ARDMORE:  15 Sandwich Terrns & 7 Wheatears at Curragh.
CALISO BAY:  3 Wheatears.
TRAMORE:  Water Rail at Lisselan, 9 Wheatears at old recycling centre.
 
Tues 26 March:
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Male Shoveler & 20 Sand Martins.
EAST WATERFORD:  2 Buzzards.
 
Mon 25 March:
KILBARRY BOG:  Water Rail & Chiffchaff along the Tramore road walkways.
WATERFORD CITY:  Blackcap at King's Channel.

GLENCAIRN (nr Lismore):  Female Blackcap at bird-table.
Nr CARRICK-ON-SUIR:  c20 Sand Martins just upriver.
EAST WATERFORD:  2 Buzzards.
 
Sat 23 March:
LISMORE to CAPPOQUIN:  12 Stock Doves.
BLACKWATER VALLEY:  11 Stock Doves at Newport East, Jay at Clashmore broads.
WEST WATERFORD:  Buzzard.
WHITING BAY:  18+ Sandwich Terns.
Nr GOAT ISLAND (Ardmore):  Female Brambling.
BALLYMACART:  Male Blackcap & an Otter.
HELVICK HEAD:  Female Black Redstart, 3 Chiffchaffs & 6 Black Guillemots.
DUNGARVAN:  2 Long-tailed Ducks off the Lookout, Wheatear at Abbeyside soccer pitch, Chiffchaff at Ballynagaul.
CLONEA STRAND:  2 Wheatears at Ballinard.
DUNHILL:  Swallow at Dunhill Ecopark - first of year.
Nr CARROLL'S CROSS:  Grey Squirrel found dead (roadkill) on N25 between Carroll's Cross & Haughton's pub.
MID WATERFORD:  4 Buzzards.

CLONEA STRAND:  Adult dark-bellied Brent Goose at Ballinclamper & 9+ Sandwich Terns.
 
Thurs 21 March:
DUNGARVAN:  Sandwich Tern at Ballynacourty pier.
 
Weds 20 March:
DUNGARVAN:  2 Sandwich Terns (first of the year) at Ballynacourty.
WEST WATERFORD:  Buzzard.
BLACKWATER VALLEY:  Water Rail at Newport East.
WHITING BAY:  2 1st/2nd-winter Iceland Gulls.
RAM HEAD:  1st/2nd-winter Iceland Gull (flypast) & 20+ Common Dolphins.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  2 Merlins.
 
Tues 19 March:
TRAMORE:  Merlin, 2 Long-tailed Ducks (male & female), Spotted Redshank & 2 Wheatears (male & female) at Backstrand.
 
Mon 18 March:
TRAMORE:  Adult Ring-billed Gull at boating lake, Spotted Redshank at Backstrand.
COOLFIN:  80+ Greylag Geese & 6 Whooper Swans.
CURRAGHMORE (nr Portlaw):  Dipper, 3 Jays, 2 Treecreepers & singing Chiffchaff.
BALLYLEEN:  2 Water Rails.
BALYVOYLE:  Merlin.
CLONEA STRAND:  Adult dark-bellied Brent Goose, Chiffchaff & 3 Wheatears at Ballinard.
RAM HEAD:  5 Red-throated Divers E & W, & 3 Bottlenose Dolphins.
FERRY POINT:  3 Mediterranean Gulls (adult & 2 2nd-winter).

HELVICK HEAD:  2 Chiffchaffs.
WEST WATERFORD:  4 Buzzards at two locations.
Nr WATERFORD CITY:  2 Chiffchaffs at IDA park, Cork road.

TRAMORE:  2 male Wheatears (first of year) at Lisselan seawall and sandhills carpark.
BLACKWATER CALLOWS:  65 Whooper Swans.
RIVER BRIDE:  26 Whooper Swans just over Cork border.
 
Weds 6 March:
Nr PORTLAW:  Pine Marten dead at roadside at Clodiagh Bridge.
 
Tues 5 March:
Nr DUNGARVAN:  Long-eared Owl calling tonight.
 
Sun 3 March:
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Male RING-NECKED DUCK still present.
BALLYSCANLAN:  32 Crossbills.
EAST WATERFORD:  Buzzard.
GORTEEN (nr Dungarvan):  12+ Siskins at garden feeders.
 
Sat 2 March:
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Male RING-NECKED DUCK.
EAST WATERFORD:  Buzzard at two locations.
CLONEA STRAND:  4 Great Northern Divers.
DUNGARVAN:  SPOONBILL opposite pitch & putt club, Jack Snipe & Green Sandpiper at Brickey canal, 3 Long-tailed Duck, Common Scoter & 5 Red-throated Divers off Ballynacourty pier.
HELVICK:  2nd-winter Glaucous Gull.
Nr WHITING BAY:  8 Tree Sparrows.
BLACKWATER VALLEY:  2-3 Water Rails at Newport East.
